Berlin, July 25, 2025 – Effective immediately, ARTCLUB will no longer offer blanket discounts on artworks. This decision reflects a clear stance against a growing trend in the art world: using price cuts as a default sales strategy — often at the expense of the artists themselves.
Across the industry, more and more platforms are relying on aggressive discounting tactics that resemble fast fashion marketing rather than a respectful approach to art. These strategies not only create artificial purchase pressure but also undermine the long-term value of artistic work. Prices lose meaning, collectors lose trust, and the artists — the true creators — are left with shrinking margins.
ARTCLUB is taking a different approach. Instead of relying on blanket discounts, the platform will continue to develop curated formats and context-based incentives — such as limited campaigns, event-based offers, or benefits tied to memberships. Any special pricing will be implemented only in direct agreement with the artist, and with a clearly communicated purpose.
This step is part of a broader commitment to building a more stable and transparent system, where fair pricing and reliable payouts are not exceptions, but the standard. ARTCLUB believes that true value cannot be generated through inflationary price cuts — but through visibility, integrity, and mutual respect.
