Kunika Tappert is a German/Zambian Artist born and raised in Berlin.
The artist works at the intersection of contemporary surrealism, expressionist painting, and comic-inspired visual language. Her work explores fragmented identity, psychological states, and inner narratives through distorted figures and non-naturalistic color. Pop-cultural symbols and graphic elements function as anchors within dreamlike, unstable spaces. Rather than depicting reality, her paintings visualize emotional tension and subconscious experience. Oscillating between narrative suggestion and painterly intensity, her work invites viewers into layered, introspective worlds.
