“I love creating large-scale paintings because I want the work to be experienced physically, not just visually. I hope viewers can lose themselves in it for a moment.”

LAURA LUZIA is a Berlin-based abstract painter whose large-scale works explore emotional tension, fragmentation, and transformation through movement-driven forms and layered gestural mark-making.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, she creates dense compositions of intertwining lines that stretch, mutate, and dissolve across the surface, almost like a creature coming to life.

Her work examines the fractured nature of identity and the emotions that exist beneath social performance. Rather than seeking resolution, her paintings embrace contradiction and continual transformation.

Originally trained in communication design, LAURA LUZIA approaches painting as both construction and excavation, balancing compositional precision with raw physical gesture. Her work has been exhibited in Berlin and Milan.
